I grew up in a New Jersey town infested by Republicans like Asian beetles now infest trees. As a small child, my grandmother was my usual babysitter but I guess that was because we were Democrats. I'm not sure who the babysitters of the Republican kids were but, to be fair, there probably weren't any 10-year-old mothers around, unless, of course, the Gaetz family lived in town. Or a family just like them.
Anyway, times have changed bigly. Republicans definitely now think that a 10-year-old makes a perfectly fine mother and a great babysitter, so much so that they've twisted the laws and set fire to the Constitution in order to encourage that sort of thing. They've even encouraged the possibility of girls and women of all ages dying due to dangerous pregnancies. I guess they like the idea of siblings growing up without a mother. It's what they do. It's who they are, a cult of millions centered around creating opportunities for oppression, death, and human misery.
