Musk Wants To Round Up, Deport Immigrants— I Can Think Of One Case Where That Would Be Awesome

Musk Is A Walking, Talking Advertisement For A Wealth Tax

During the now infamous March 8th interview with Don Lemon, Elon Musk claimed that his March 3rd meeting with Trump was unplanned and just by chance. “I was at a breakfast at a friend’s place, and Donald Trump came by. That’s it.” Well that isn’t entirely it. It was a sleep-over and the friend invited Trump to come by, something Musk had agreed to. Musk claims that Trump “did most of the talking. There was nothing particularly groundbreaking or new. President Trump likes to talk. And so, he talked. I don’t recall him saying anything that he hasn’t said publicly. And that was it, just a breakfast. I’m not paying his legal bills in any way, shape or form … and he did not ask me for money.”

Musk does plan to endorse Trump though. Usually when Musk endorses a candidate, endorser drag kicks in because his controversial reputation weighs down the candidates he backs. Most recently, he came out for Jeremy Sylestine, the conservative Democrat running for Travis County D.A. The helped propel progressive José Garza to a landslide win in what was predicted to be a close, down-to-the-wire race. Musk is what you might call a bearer of endorser backlash. He says he’ll make his opinion know in the final stretch, just as he did with poor Sylestine.

Yesterday Zach Basu reported that Musk strongly opposes Biden’s reelection and has internalized the the deranged and xenophobic MAGA positions on immigration. He regularly uses Twitter “to denigrate Democrats and promote Trump's messaging on the 2024 election's top issues. Chief among them is immigration. Musk has shared the conspiracy theory that Biden is intentionally ‘importing’ millions of undocumented immigrants to boost Democrats' political power, as well as numerous posts portraying immigrants as security threats. ‘There is either a red wave this November or America is doomed,’ Musk posted this weekend, responding to a video about New York City's migrant crisis. ‘Imagine four more years of this getting worse.’”

An immigrant himself, Musk has “called Democrats ‘the party of division & hate’ and cast the debate over ‘woke’ culture as a ‘battle for the future of civilization.’ Musk said he'd voted for Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton and Biden in the past, but called on ‘independent-minded voters’ to back Republicans in the midterms.” They didn’t, another example of Musk’s negative appeal to normal Americans.

Basu wrote that “a review of Musk's Twitter feed suggests illegal immigration has become an object of near-singular obsession. ‘If Dems win President, House & Senate (with enough seats to overcome filibuster), they'll grant citizenship to all illegals & America will become a permanent one-party deep socialist state,’ Musk posted last week. Earlier this month, Musk accused Biden of ‘treason’ and warned the administration was ‘creating a national security threat from unvetted illegal immigrants. It is highly probable that the groundwork is being laid for something far worse than 9/11. Just a matter of time,’ he predicted.”

Musk, born into a wealthy fascist family in South Africa, emigrated to Canada, and then came to the U.S. on a student’s visa but dropped out of Stanford after two days to start using other people’s tech work to enrich himself. He’s one of the most worthless, greedy assholes on the planet— with a net worth of nearly $200 billion— a walking advertisement for a wealth tax… and not a pussy wealthy tax like the one Elizabeth Warren has proposed, a real one that would leave him with a few million dollars, not billions.
