by Noah Yep, it's that time. The 2022 election is upon us and Republicans are doing everything they can to inspire their bottomless pit of bigoted voters to get to the polls! The above photo, from which I made tonight's meme, is what happened on an Interstate 405 overpass in the Los Angeles area over the weekend. It's a "Honk If You Agree With Kanye West" celebration of Kanye's anti-Semitic statements, That's right, Kanye West. The same Kanye West that Trump invited into the oval office during his vomitous anti-America, pro-Putin presidency. Trump didn't invent the GOP's long embraced anti-Semitism but he's sure done everything to bring it to the forefront! It's on steroids now. The demonstration, complete with the nazi salute that the GOP is making their own, took place on Saturday. On Sunday, Beverly Hills police reported that anti-Semitic flyers were being passed out around the city. There's no word about yellow stars, yet, but you know that's coming. I expect that we will see plenty of that as the 2024 campaign season really gets underway. According to the ADL, a total of 2717 anti-Semitic incidents were reported during 2021. That's a new record, folks, and that's only just what's been reported. It's an increase of 34% over 2020, and, given the current statements of prominent Republican voices like those of West, Trump, and Marjorie Traitor Greene, et al., 2022 will leave the 2021 number in the dust. Yes, there will be more of the same, much, much more. By the way, have you noticed how Republicans will at least temporarily push their hate of all things African-American aside and welcome an African-American who is a wife abuser, an anti-Semite, or an anti-vax loon into the club? I also can't help but notice that the Republican Party, from McCarthy, McConnell, Romney-McDaniel, and their pasty-faced orange fuhrer on down have had nothing to say about the demonstration. Clearly, they see the nazi goons on that 405 overpass as surrogates. I bet there were some congratulatory phone calls; fund-raising off it, too.
