Really? Do you have to ask? Do you think for one moment that the likes of "Ted" Cruz, Lindsey Graham, Josh Hawley, Moscow Mitch, Marjorie Traitor Greene, Lauren Boebert, Ron DeSantis, Greg Abbott, Gym Jordan, et. al. ad infinitum, or the kind of voters who put such nihilistic and treasonous scum into their offices would care for even an instant? The answer lies in the fact that Trump's poll numbers among Republican voters have already gone up since his indictments were announced. That's just the very recent history of the last few weeks. Clearly, the gory details won't matter. We already knew that both Republican politicians and those who vote for them had no problem with their boy sending a violent, murderous red-hatted mob into the Capitol Building to overthrow the government. Funny how being a conservative goes hand in hand with being a violence freak, isn't it? It was true in the 1960's South and it's true now all over the country. That's not to say that conservatism hasn't always infected the entire country but Trump ripped the bandaids off and gave it a bigger, more emboldened, even more nazified voice. Today's Republicans deride wanting to know about matters of history as being "woke." Even now, their chosen representatives are fighting like hell to bury the machinations that brought us to 1/6. The thing is, however, history has usually shown us that, as time goes on, more is uncovered. Whether it's about figuring out how ancient pyramids were built or who was behind the killings of various leaders centuries or mere decades ago, or what was going on at Bedminster, Mar-a-Lago, and the oval office itself just since 2017, more will be known. Traitor Don has always been a highly transactional man and he stole documents of great value. I hope that I live long enough to know the bulk of the details. Ah, but will I live long enough to see the firing squads that are called for delivering the righteous punishments? Not when we vote in too many tentative, and overly "polite" Democrats who just don't wanna make any waves, preferring to settle for the occasional light ripple. There was a time, here in NYC, when I could vote with the Working Families Party but then they went "All Schumer-All The time" and that was it for me. The so-called Greens? Those darlings of RT and the Russian troll farms? Not me. I won't be breaking bread with Putin anytime soon. All I can say is what I always say: One way or the other, either deliberately or through timidity, Washington takes care of its own. Did Nixon ever spend even a night in prison? That's the farcical foot-dragging justice system we have here. Meanwhile, the countdown to see who the next Gerald Ford will be has begun. Place your bets.
