Yeah, In the latest example of their heightened cynicism, Chief "Justice" John Roberts and his team of robed bribe spongers have now told us that they've finally come up with what they call a "Code Of Ethics." I know we rarely enforce the laws of the land when it comes to the transgressions of the privileged but this is even more of a farce in that Capo Roberts and his wise guys deliberately didn't bother to include any enforcement mechanisms at all. The so-called Supreme Court Code Of Ethics is nothing but a useless piece of paper. It's a free pass. It's a cynical farce designed to deflect some heat off of any of these wise guys whose corruption has been making the headlines lately. The "Code" will have no effect, zero, none because there is nothing in it designed to punish the ongoing sleazy if not downright criminal "best money justice can buy" behavior.
Nice try, Roberts. I know you can fool some of the people most of the time but you have failed to do your job and you have failed to fool some of us (the minority) all of the time. The others don't even pay attention. Sadly, your job as Capo Of The Court is safe along with those of your top earners. Much smirking among you all I'm sure.
So, what's the latest lesson here? That's easy. Our so-called justice system may or may not be designed that way, but clearly, if you want Roberts and his crew to do the right thing, you have to grease their palms. It has been ever thus. He just wants you to make sure you know.
