And government intervention to the max on behalf of the rich but for you? Not so much. In Tom Tomorrow's cartoon above, I couldn't help but zero right in on the second panel where it says-
As always, the solution is obvious! We must privatize profit and socialize loss!
Yep, While the rich who invested to the tune of grandly exceeding the F.D.I.C. limit lose nothing if their bank crumbles, their private loses are replenished by our taxpayer dollars being taken from our pockets and given to them as a private gift! Socialism for their "banking needs" but not for our everyday needs! In other words, we effectively supply our hard earned money to them gratis so they can invest it and keep all of the profits. No charge to them, and no cut for us. And, if something goes amiss, we just give them more of our money! Cycle. Repeat. Cycle.
And Washington wonders why we hate them all so much! To me, that's what's obvious! We even pay for their retirement pensions! Again, gratis! As if such bipedal filth pods deserve single dime!
Meanwhile, right this moment, we are also paying for the doctors, the nurses, the hospitalization, the drugs, and the rehab of one particular parasite, one who has always worked to build and maintain this system, one named Moscow Mitch McConnell who tripped and fell. It would be the same if it was any of them. Moscow dude is particularly lucky though. In his favorite country, people "fall" out of hotel and hospital windows on a regular basis. I have a dream.
