Midnight Meme Of The Day! Republican Speaker-Lord Mike Johnson Has "The Best Words"

by Noah

If we were a sane country, we would think something has gone radically amiss when our best cartoonists can create a powerful cartoon by using the utterly insane exact quotes of the main protagonist of the cartoon to help make the point of the cartoon. No embellishment or exaggeration is really needed. It's kind of a Jack Webb approach. Just the words.

In fact, if you were to just put the words in a frame, they might appear to normal people as cartoon-ish in and of themselves and they are. Normal people, uncontaminated by a Republican mindset, would regard them as bizarre and laughable, not unlike words spewed out by some babbling nutjob speaker perched up on a soapbox in a park. Sure, the words have more than a tinge of dark humor or some level of insanity, but, in your local park... well, laughable, with more than a little disturbing quality or downright horror. "Poor guy," you might think as you walk by.

But, context matters. It matters bigly. These are the words that every House Republican (except one absent member) voted for and endorsed with their votes and there's more, much more, to come. By extension, they are also the words of every Republican voter who sent the nazi goons to Washington who voted for Mike Johnson to become their Speaker-Lord when they found Gym Jordan and Steve (The David Duke Guy) Scalise to not be extreme or even outright insane enough. They are the words of Nazism, Trumpism, or Republicanism. Pick a word. All of them share the same definition now more than ever before.
