Sunday Thoughts

The Republican Party's recent vote to inflict their sadistic "Big Beautiful Bill" on Americans isn't solely a reflection of their intrinsic Nazism, it's also a reflection of their perversion of Christianity or at least a perversion of what Christianity purports to be. I say it that way because the history of Christianity is rife with hate, violence, and a myriad of other contradictions. In short, what Christianity likes to claim to be about is little but cover for the misery and suffering it inflicts time and time again. So yeah, tonight's meme isn't just about the GOP joy in taking survival itself away from children and the poor. We also know their "Big Beautiful Bill is about taking billions in Medicaid and Medicare away from those who have earned it and paid for it. Anything for the party goal of flying the flag of misery, eh Republicans? Even now, those on the Nazi side of the $enate aisle are trying to figure out just how devious and evil they can be. Like I always say; it's who they are, it's what they do. And it's been that way for nearly all my life. We need a political Dresden. If there ever was a god, that would have already occurred.Â
Addendum: I usually send these posts in a few days ahead of time so wouldn't ya know it, the day after I sent this one in a knuckle dragging psycho senator from Iowa named Joni Ernst just felt she had to test out what is sure to be the position of her fellow psychopaths on the Republican side of the aisle in the $enate. If you thought for some naive reason, even after 60 years of evidence to the contrary, that every Republican you know of is not a total psychopath or at least a raving, spitting, drooling sociopath, Ernst held a town hall in Iowa for the expressed purpose of speaking of the glory of her diapered Dear Leader. Over and over again, she plowed on through the boos and jeers of her constituents in a desperately flailing attempt to sell them on her party's overtly sadistic "Big Beautiful Billionaire Bill" and the audience just wasn't having it. Ernst did give even a hint of a damn of course. She might as well have painted up her face as The Joker. When it came to the audience complaints about her wanting to kill as many of her constituents as possible by voting to cut Medicaid, Medicare, and anything remotely connected to healthcare in general, she had one big I don't give a flying zeptophuck about you. It was real simple. She said:
"Well, we all are going to die!"
Well, if that ain't the attitude of her party in 7 words, you might as well at least start there. There can be no peace with such people. What the hell do they care? They're drunk with power. They get the best healthcare in the world and we pay for it with our tax dollars. To the parasitic likes of Joni Ernst, we are just hosts to live off and don't deserve any better. When the "Big Beautiful Billionaire Bill" gets to the $enate, cue up every one of the psychotics from Majority Nutjob John Thune to Lindsey Graham, to "Ted" Cruz, to Tommy Tubervile, to healthcare crook Risk Scott and all the rest of them rushing to the podium saying the same thing and worse. As to which one of them walks onto the $enate floor wielding a chainsaw ala infamous drug addict Elon Musk first, well, we'll just have to wait and see.Â
Meanwhile, I can't help thinking of us "ordinary Americans" as the besieged humans in "Independence Day" and people like Ernst as the alien locusts who suck whole planets dry. On Friday, she gave words to their thoughts. Not the first time. Not the last. But about as evil as can be. Are ya sick of it yet?Â
