The Jesus depicted in the above cartoon is definitely the ideal Republican Jesus. The spewing of hate for "the other" is what always emanates from the conservative mind. Hence the republican bastardization of the "traditional" Jesus. For all my life, the key thing that has always stood out to me about republicans is their incessant need for new targets for their constant hate. It's how they motivate their voters to get to the polls. Last year, it was trans people and immigrants (but only the non-white variety). Right now, it's specifically those dreaded brown people from Somalia, a country most repugs never heard of even a few weeks ago and a country that, maybe, one in one million of them could even find on a map.

The conservative mind's need to have a target for their psychopathy is sometimes so out of control that those afflicted will imbue a politician with such extreme adoration that that person becomes a Jesus on Earth to them, a person to unite behind in order to assert control and inflict pain on "others." We've had centuries upon centuries of that. Right now for the GOP, that person is Trump. You can see that in their Turning Point USA get togethers, at CPAC confabs, at Republican Conventions, and right in the oval office when Trump's robotic evangelical fans do their laying on of hands thing with him. That level of sacrilege seems particularly insane when you come to the rational conclusion that even touching Trump must be extremely unhealthy. I mean, would you dip your hands into raw sewage? I guess you would if you were one of Trump's Christonut fans and that sewage came direct from The Diaper Don. It's kinda how they baptize themselves, I guess.
