Of course Joe Manchin hates the idea of funding renewable energy systems. That's just one thing he hates about the Biden Agenda legislation, but, to him it's a big thing. He makes his money, either directly through the family fossil fuel business he set up, or by holding his hand out for "campaign contribution" graft from other fossil fuel corporations. Joe Manchin loves polluting the Earth as much as Matt Gaetz loves polluting little girls. And, for both of them, as far as Earth is concerned, it can go to Hell.
I haven't been in West Virginia for 50 years but it's still clearly a deliberately impoverished lost world stuck in the 19th century, especially if you're a coal miner. In a just world, Joe Manchin would die, slowly suffocating alone in a deep mine cave-in for 10 or 12 days. Maybe they'd let me pipe in some music for him. I was once a DJ. I could play him Gil Scott-Heron's "Whitey On The Moon" over and over again. I wonder if he'd get it.

When Manchin's term is up, let's see if he gets reelected in 2024. I expect he will, being as the people of West Virginia allowed themselves to be dumbed down enough to vote for him in the first place and, if they don't vote for him, they're sure to vote for someone just as bad, and feel a little good about themselves, too. Sleep on West Virginia, sleep on. Sad.
