Do not look for even a grain of human decency in the GOP or the NRA. It simply isn't there to be found and you are wasting time. We have a president who still, after all the tonnage of evidence to the contrary, evidence that piles up upon us every damn day, says that we can work with such people, but we cannot. Theirs is a bit by bit long game of constantly carving all that is decent about humanity away until there is nothing but the evil that flourishes within them. Our only option is to show up every day in such loud and heavy numbers that we crush them as they will continue to crush us under the intolerable weight of what they represent if we continue to put up with this.
As I always say, we should be calling the Republican Party the Domestic Terror Party because that's exactly what they are. Likewise, I always make a point of pointing out that the number one goal of Republican policy is always, at the root, finding ways to spread as much death and misery as possible with bullets, lead in the water, women dying of avoidable sepsis due to pregnancies gone wrong, unregulated tank cars of carcinogens derailing in our yards and, last but not least, the best equipped mass shooters in the world being able to do what they do at anywhere at any time. Can you really look at the likes of Donald Trump, Moscow Mitch McConnell, Kremlin Kevin, Marjorie Traitor Greene, "Ted" Cruz, Tucker Tiki Torch, Matt Gaetz, Greg Abbott, Elon Musk, Rupert Murdoch, Rand Paul, Sean Hannity, Ronna Romney McDaniel, Ron DeSantis... any of them, and honestly say that it's otherwise? Do you enjoy being a naive fool with a variety of targets on your back?
