TV Evangelista Pat Roberson has come out of his retirement to line up in support of Vladimir Putin and, of course, it's total loony bin time!
Younger readers might hear the shit that pours out of Pat Robertson's head and think he's just a senile, demented old man. Well, I'm old enough that I can honestly tell them that it isn't his age. Pat Robertson has been insane for at least 70 of his 91 years. I can't testify as to what he was like before then but I think it's safe to assume that he was either dropped on his head as a three year old or he made a habit of drinking antifreeze in the winter because his inbred parents told him it might keep him warm. I've also seen people that did too much PCP and ate way too many mushrooms of the wrong kind that acted just like him, too. With Pat Robertson and any of these wackjob televangelist goons, it's always something along those lines.
Pat Robertson has always indulged in a witch's brew of religion and satanic politics. He's a Republican thru and thru. Hell, he even got into the Republican Presidential Primaries a few times. He tried being an attorney and failed at that but he's made over a hundred million dollars out of being a total lunatic. He even had a 30 year stretch where most Republicans regarded him as a truly acceptable presidential possibility. Try as he did, he never got the nomination. What we got was bad enough but the GOP was just building up to Trump and time passed Robertson by.
So now, along comes the equally insane Vlad "The Republican" Putin and he attacks Ukraine and starts launching artillery shells toward the largest nuclear plant in Europe. Now that's Robertson's kind of guy! Like many if not the vast majority of Republicans, Robertson looks at Putin and two magic words that Republicans, particularly devotees of Republican Jesus just naturally fixate on, pop up- "End Times!" Robertson is celebrating Putin every bit as much as Tiki Torch Tucker and the rest of the usual traitors. You want stark raving mad? Pat Robertson delivers! Heeeerrre's Patty!
People say that Putin’s out of his mind. Yes, maybe so. But at the same time, he’s being compelled by God. He went into the Ukraine but that wasn’t his goal. His goal was to move against Israel, ultimately.
Well, hallelujah! Praise the Lord and pass the ammo! Robertson now claims that Ukraine is the staging area for a move into Israel to set up Armageddon, the final battle, the Rapture! It's all God's plan. Putin is the means. This Ukraine war is all part of "the plan" and "it's coming to pass," says Pat, and he should know. He's hallucinated with the best of 'em. There, doesn't that make you feel better about everything?
