When John Oliver taped his latest show, Kandiss Taylor was polling 4.3%. Perhaps it was the debate clip that Oliver showed that caused her to drop precipitously. After all, it would be impossible to walk away from having heard her ranting and raving about Biden being a pedophile without wondering how she was polling at even 4.4%. In the end, the poor far right lunatic-- watch Oliver to see the full glory-- only wound up with 3.4% of the vote on election day. Nor did she win any counties. There was one county though where she actually won over 20% (21%)-- Appling County, where she tied David Perdue for second place. Every other county had her in 3rd place and about 30 counties gave her either one or two percent.
She boasted she was endorsed by Roger Stone, Lin Wood, the My Pillow guy, severely sociopathic pastor Greg Locke, Stew Peters, Seth Keshel and some neo-Nazi podcast hosts. And this is what she said she would do on her first day as governor:

So what's wrong with Appling County? Well, Trump beat Biden in Appling 78.3% to 21.3%. In a state where 55% of the residents were smart enough to get themselves fully vaccinated, Appling's rate is just 36%. It performs for Republicans at approximately an R+60 level.
