This Is How Democrats Should Talk About Gaza

Blue America PAC endorsed candidate for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 7^th District, progressive Democrat Mark Pinsley, has created a video that expresses the urgency of ending the war in Gaza and flooding humanitarian aid into the strip.  Pinsley, who is Jewish and was raised, like Howie, and like me for that matter, with an attachment to Israel, does not hide the pain he feels calling Israel out for the atrocities it has committed in Gaza.

It's long past time for the war to end.  Last year I listened to an interview with former IDF deputy-chief-of-staff, and current member of the Knesset, General Yair Golan, who said that if the war had been about neutralizing Hamas, it would have lasted 6-8 weeks.  The war is about Netanyahu’s dependency on his extreme right-wing base, and their desire to reoccupy Gaza.  Without them, Netanyahu’s government falls, and Netanyahu probably gets a new government office, one with bars on the windows.
