Where is the freedom to not be literally shot to pieces at a parade? Where is the freedom to not be literally shot to pieces at a grocery store? Where is the freedom to not be literally shot to pieces at a concert? Where is the freedom to not be literally shot at a place of worship? Where is the freedom to not be literally shot to pieces at a school?
You get the picture. Instead we get a willful, cynical politics-based misinterpretation of the 2nd Amendment to our Constitution that enables this domestic terror. 306 mass shootings so far this year, all done for votes from the easily manipulated and cash in pocket from corporate and political enemies both foreign and domestic.
It's plenty easy for me to see the direct line of Vladimir Putin's cash, laundered through the NRA, then given to our political vermin (The vermin part includes you, Joe Manchin!) to block gun legislation that is both reasonable and meaningful. It's also easy for me to see that that line goes from the Kremlin and our corporate boardrooms right up to, into, and through the disintegrated skulls, shattered legs, and pools and globs of red American blood on the sidewalks of a neighborhood in Highland Park in Illinois, a predominantly Jewish neighborhood by the way.
And, guess what, the "person of interest" in this latest act of domestic terror (providing there isn't another one by the time you read this) is an alleged white supremacist MAGA freak. Already, film of him turning up at a Trump rally has been uncovered along with a few Trumpy posts on his social media. I'm sure we will see more news about that little factoid as the hours tick by. FOX "News" and "Ted" Cruz will say it was ANTIFA, of course.
For a while now, good Americans are feeling anxiety every time that a pickup truck rolls by them ISIS-styling; all festooned with MAGA bumper stickers, Trump flags, Teabagger flags, Confederate flags, and even, ironic as it is, America flags. Sometimes there's even a Nazi flag included but, Nazi flag or no Nazi flag, that that goes with the territory anyway and is probably tattoed on the arm of the red-hatted driver somewhere. It isn't the election that has been stolen from us.
