John Mitchell would be very happy with the way things are going these days. We have an anti-health, anti-women, anti-voting, pro-billionaire/billionaire owned and operated nazi-loving supreme court. Open threats of mass deportations of brown people, pledges to build "detention" camps, promises of national abortion bans and muslim bans, feverish anti-LGBTQ+ stances, and promises of arrests and prosecutions of judges, district attorneys and critics in the press and elsewhere from party leaders. That's all a big chunk of the Republican Party straight Nazi platform right there. And in their own words, too, without any shame or attempt to hide it. After all, it's the kind of thing they've dreamed about since they chose Barry Goldwater as their standard bearer in 1964. Back in those days, the John Birch Society was viewed as fringe but now their views are held as mainstream by any Republican you know. To many of today's Repugs, the Birchers are probably being suspected as having been liberals. That's how far the party of crackpotopia has devolved into nazism.

And now we have a Speaker of the House who thinks his personal god calls all the shots and our ancestors rode to work on dinosaurs. COVID was bad enough. No one seems to be developing a vaccine to cure Republicanism.
