I've been wondering for a long time why it's only Four Horsemen Of The Apocalypse when it's so clear that there might be a fifth horse of misinformation that so often begets the other four. But, consider the source: The Four Horsemen are figures that appeared in the New Testament's Book Of Revelation and, as such, became figures of note in the Christian religion. They also appear earlier in the Old Testament's Book Of Zechariah and Book Of Ezekiel where they are named as punishments from God. Yep. The Four Horsemen are figures of the Bible, so, might the Bible itself be the real Fifth Horseman? Zechariah refers to the four horses as Sword, Famine, Wild Beasts, and Plague. Ezekial and The Book Of Revelation offer basically the same descriptions with the added "bonus" in the latter of apocalyptic visions of "the end times" and final judgement; sounds very evangelical and Republican, doesn't it? How fitting! However, it occurs to me that the fifth horseman could almost just as well be Rupert Murdoch.
