Midnight Meme Of The Day! Republicanism As A Variant Of Insanity

by Noah

Sunday Thoughts:

Trump as Republicans see him and he sees himself. It's a clear cut case of delusion and mass insanity as a lifestyle. For some Republicans, that's a choice. For the vast majority, they're just plain nuts.

Today, this dark thought occurs to me: Before Reagan, the worst of the crazies were locked away and cared for behind the walls of homes for the insane. The walls kept them away from society, serving as masks to protect us (and them), if you will. After Reagan, in his own state of dementia, emptied the asylums and turned the crazies loose on the streets to mingle with us, they were given a louder voice. Reagan's action exponentially escalated the numbers of wackjobs saying wackjob things among us. We interacted with them and heard what they had to say. Some even got talk radio shows, cases in point, Alex Jones, Glenn Beck, and Sean Hannity. Can any sane person doubt that Alex Jones is insane? Some now have youtube channels and the like. Some gain creedence just because they have a successful pillow company. The gullible and those who never learned critical thinking ability have minds that absorb it all like a sponge. They marinate it and then push it forward with their own words and actions. The mass delusion and insanity has spread like a virus and its ever more lethal variants. Which is more dangerous to America? The spreading of COVID-19 and its variants, or, the spreading of this insanity? Do you really think that the likes of Marjorie Traitor Greene, Rand Paul, Louie Gohmert, Ron Desantis, Lauren Boebert, and Trump, just to name a few, are as bad as it will get? Are they the worst variants of Republicanism that we will be faced with? Guess again.
