Midnight Meme Of The Day Is Iowa's Joni Ernst Using The Same Drugs As Elon Musk?

I love the hard hitting quality of this editorial cartoon that Clay Jones came up with to punch back at nutstate Iowa's beloved $enator Joni Ernst. I say nutstate because 72% of her state's voters went to the polls on Election Day and chose Ernst to represent their interests and views. The cartoon offers a lot of detail to see, from the strange things in the bowls on the trays, to the Pizza Rat, to the reference to the 1973 film Soylent Green. If you don't know the film's backstory, wikipedia offers a great description.

Ernst however is not only the lunatic $enator that was the deciding vote on confirming Pete Hegseth as our homophobic, misogynistic  (in other words, typical Republican) Secretary of Defense, Ernst has also repeatedly proven herself to be a completely sadistic psychopath. She did that with extra emphasis just last week at an Iowa town hall where, in response to some constituents who dared to question her vote to cut Medicaid, Medicare, research into cures for all sorts of deadly diseases, and anything to do with health care, she disdainfully smiled, smirked, shrugged, and said with an evil gleam in her eyes, "Well, we're all going to die."

I guess we should now assume that Iowa has elected its own version of Marjorie Traitor Greene; good to know. It was an infamous moment not just for Ernst but her entire party which is made up of people who so obviously live to promote human misery, death, and terror. Joni Ernst deliberately mocked her tax paying constituents to their faces and she did it knowing that she gets the best healthcare in the world, all paid for by the taxes of the people she mocks but it was more than just an "I got mine, Jack, FU" moment.

Then, after the blowback in response to the evil that has no doubt lurked within her for a very long time, she doubled down hours later by reiterating her intentions with a short clip filmed at a graveyard. You can see it below. I suppose the next one will be her shooting up a funeral with a newly Trump-approved machine gun while laughing and screaming out the words "We're all going to die! We're all going to die! You're all going to die, right now!!!" Why wouldn't she? It's totally in her character or lack there of. And, it's also now her party's motto.
