The resemblance is uncanny.

I'm old enough to remember when Republicans got their knickers all in a twist every time a college student wore a beard and a hat like Fidel Castro or a t-shirt with Che Guevarra's visage on it. Now, all these decades later, Republicans have adopted the same fashion, as exemplified by top Republican leaders such as Rafael "Ted" Cruz. I guess it kind of fits because Republicans have always devoted themselves to being at least 50 or 60 years years behind the times. I'd like to think this means that, someday soon, Republicans will, at long last, get behind the Civil Rights movement, but yeah, no, not a chance of that. That's just not who they are. They're more likely to start working with Putin to build a Russian missile base in Texas.
