Trump adopted the Goebbels Big Lie approach to manipulation of the public long ago and his party embraced it wholeheartedly like the fanatics that they are. It's the path to their cherished dream of autocracy. Judging by what Republicans have been presenting us with this week, it's almost as if they want to make doubly sure that we know that. And, the week is only half over!
Folks, this is the essence of Trumpism, Republicanism, and Nazism. Three words that mean the same thing. The Goebbels quote is the outline and m.o. for all of Trump's tens of thousands of lies; always has been. For instance, it is the framework for everything Trump and his party have been saying and doing about the 2020 presidential election results, right up to and including the sedition embraced by congressional republicans. And, of course, with the help of the republican media, the voters have completely bought in. The Big Lie approach will continue as long as the millions of easily conned keep buying into it. Don't expect it to stop just because Trump will eventually be gone. He has shown Republicans the way and they love it.
