Truth isn't truth. Elections aren't elections. Wins aren't wins. Losses aren't losses. America, meet your Republican Party, a nihilistic circus of party made up of nothing but Bizarros, crackpots, conspiracy nuts, and totalitarians. They need to change the name of their party to something that represents what they have so eagerly become-- The Autocracy Party. To them, America isn't America. They don't even try to hide it anymore. They've now even dispensed with espousing the American Ideals that they've always held in contempt more than anyone anyway.
Continuing on a theme from Friday's post, a bit of Monday morning quarterbacking, Republican style:
Last week the Republican Party, as represented by18 red maga nut states and 126 seditious repug treason puppets in the House of Representatives (That's 2/3rds of the House Autocracy Caucus) turned their backs on honoring their oath to protect the Constitution from all enemies foriegn and democracy itself and moved to disallow the certified election votes of their fellow Americans in the states of Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Georgia. In a move that recalls the sedition, secession, and treason of the states that moved to dissolve the Union in 1860, they then took their sick anti-American idea to the Supreme Court where it was, in a rare moment of sanity, shown to the nearest shredder. I strongly suggest that, if they try it again, the Attorney General of Massachusetts or New York file a countersuit to throw out the certified election results in Florida, Texas, Ohio, and North Carolina. Hey, I'd even meet them halfway and toss out the votes from just the two states of Texas and Florida. Joe Biden would still win but where does it all end? Would we have Attorneys General filing suits until there are no states' votes left to count? Would that be insane enough for the Autocracy Party? Perhaps that's the end game Trump and his party want, nothing matters except the whims of their crazy pants president. It would amount to turning America into North Korea or the Philippines, both of whom have leaders that Trump loves, if only because they personally shoot anyone they perceive to be a threat to their dictatorial autonomy. I can see Trump getting a daily kill list from Sean Hannity and the rest of the Proud Boys now. Would that satisfy every republican in the land? All evidence indicates that it would not just satisfy these nuts, it would send them into states of delirious, orgasmic ecstasy.
One other suggestion, Rep. Bill Pascrell of New Jersey, citing Section III of the 14th Amendment (below) has proposed that the 126 treason puppets not be seated as representatives in the House when the new session begins. That is the correct and logical thing to do but the so-called Democratic Party will never have the balls or guts to do it, even though, if the shoe was on the other foot, the Autocracy Party wouldn't hesitate for a second. The Dems would rather follow the lead of Neville Chamberlain and continue to appease these people and invite more grief down the road.
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.
