As you've no doubt have already read, Trump has been urging his base to go out and get vaccinated. It must have dawned on him that it's his voters and supporters who are unvaccinated and getting seriously ill and, in some cases, dying. On crackpot Candace Owens show last week, he said "Oh no, the vaccines work, but some people aren’t the ones. The ones who get very sick and go to the hospital are the ones that don’t take the vaccine. But it’s still their choice. And if you take the vaccine, you’re protected. Look, the results of the vaccine are very good, and if you do get it, it’s a very minor form. People aren’t dying when they take the vaccine."
She responded the next day-- with a video posted on Instagram-- by implying he is senile, doddering and out of touch. "He believes that," she told her hundreds of thousands of simple-minded low, low, low IQ followers, "because he comes from a generation, like... people you often times forget like how old Trump is. He comes from a generation. I've seen other people that are older have the exact same perspective. Like they came from a time before TV, before Internet, before being able to conduct their independent research. You know, and everything that they read in a newspaper that was pitched to them that they believe that that was reality and one of those things was, you know, this push for vaccines and believing that people were gonna die without vaccines. I believe also that he only reads the mainstream media news, believe it or not. I do not believe that Trump reads or partakes in any other news sources. I don't believe that Trump is on the Internet or, you know, that he necessarily uses the web to try to find obscure websites. I think that he just relies on, you know, typical mainstream sources."
Yes, MAGA World was always destined to degenerate into a mashup between George Orwell's Animal Farm and William Golding's Lord Of The Flies, Candace Owens a perfect candidate to span both novels and connect them to the world created by Señor Trumpanzee. She went on to insist that Trump "needs to have a larger conversation to really understand what's going on and why so many people are just horrified."
I wouldn't know how many people-- or barnyard animals-- are horrified, but grifters like Owens and Alex Jones certainly are. If you watched the video up top... I hope your jaw didn't drop so far that you hit it on a hard surface. "This is an emergency Christmas Day warning to President Trump, rasped the raving and delusional Jones. "You are either completely ignorant about the so-called vaccine gene therapy that you helped ram through with Operation Warp Speed or you are one of the most evil men who ever lived. To push this toxic poison on the public and to attack your constituents when they simply try to save their lives and the lives of others... What you told Candace Owens a few days ago is nothing but a raft of dirty lies."
It will be interesting to see if Trump has the guts to push back on MAGA-world leaders like Owens and Jones again. He's been bitten badly, but, on the other hand, he sure liked the praise he got from President Biden for urging his confused followers to go get vaccinated.
