Thousands Of MAGAts Were Cheated-- Why Should Anyone Care?
If the government rounded up every billionaire in America, shot them and confiscated their property, they might harm an innocent person, but I don’t know of any off hand— and I’m willing to see that chance taken. I asked Chat GPT how many billionaires live in the U.S. It said that as of September 2021 there were 724 of them. Google’s information is more updated and claims there are 770. Most of them live in California, New York, Florida, Massachusetts and Illinois. The states with no billionaires are New Hampshire, West Virginia, Alaska, Vermont, North Dakota, New Mexico, Alabama and Delaware. One was arrested yesterday, though, alas, not shot.
Guo Wengui, who has more than half a dozen known aliases, was arrested by the FBI in New York this morning. The top Bannon financier, he’s being charged with 12 counts including securities fraud, bank fraud, money laundering— having orchestrated a conspiracy to defraud his thousands of online followers of more than $1 billion in a crypto scam. Before fleeing China to the U.S., in 2014— where he became a member of the Mar-A-Lago set— he had been credibly accused of rape, bribery, money laundering, kidnapping and fraud.
He’s beloved of the MAGAts for pushing COVID conspiracy theories, lies about Hunter Biden and for supporting Bannon. The NY Times reported that “A federal indictment unsealed in Manhattan charged that Guo and a co-defendant took advantage of Guo’s ‘prolific online presence’ to solicit investments in various entities and programs ‘by promising outsized financial returns and other benefits.’ Damian Williams, the U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, said Guo was ‘charged with lining his pockets with the money he stole, including buying himself, and his close relatives, a 50,000-square-foot mansion, a $3.5 million Ferrari and even two $36,000 mattresses.’ The money was also used to finance a $37 million luxury yacht.” Bannon was arrested on that yacht in 2020.
Rather than shoot him, the Feds could just deport him to China this evening. Let them shoot him… unless, as many people believe, he’s actually a deep cover spy for China.
Matt Steib wrote that “After joining Mar-a-Lago in 2015, Guo became a big financial backer of Steve Bannon when the GOP operative was fired from the Trump administration in 2017; he became a main source of funding for Bannon when he was cut off by the wealthy Mercer family early the next year. In 2018, he reportedly gave Bannon more than $1 million in “strategic consulting services,” which involved Bannon introducing him to ‘media personalities.’… Over the years, Guo reportedly paid hundreds of thousands to Trump advisers, including Rudy Giuliani and L. Lin Wood. Since 2020, he has promoted COVID vaccine misinformation and funded rallies to contest Joe Biden’s election win.
UPDATE: And After Guo Wengui, Or Whatever His Name Is, Is Arrested…
I’m sure it’s just a coinkidink but the 18th floor of the Sherry Netherland Hotel on 5th Avenue and 59th Street— half of Guo’s fancy 2-story apartment— burned down. That’s one way to dispose of the evidence that the Feds didn't get in the raid, I guess.
